Pikaflo Thunderblog!
A weblog is a description and comment of one's own surfing. Therefore do not expect me to use this a journal, but just to publish links to some pages I've visited, and which I think may be worth a look.

SFA OK! Super Furries rule: Gruff Rhys plays Silent Night. I would have been pissed off had I been to that night though :)

If you haven't seen it before, then it's time to take the "24 hour party people" quiz, and to see what the answer to "Who would you be?" can be. Last time it said "Peter Hook", but fortunately, I'm getting "Bez" today. Must have been the question about freaky dancin (Salut Pure Staïle).

I was listening to Clyde 1 FM on the bus this morning, mainly because George Bowie is not as irritating yet as Sara Cox, and he called Fame Academy winner David Sneddon "The pride of Paisley". So then I was wondering what else do Paisley have to be proud about. Which led me to think that maybe that wasn't totally wrong. What next though? Martin Compston "Pride of Greenock"? He was on Offside yesterday, and Tam Cowan offered him a bottle of Buckie, which I thought was an appropriate present.

I haven't really read Slashdot much lately. Interesting ones today though. Now we'll be getting audio CD's with spyware for a start, and we can all be amazed at how good at maths the RIAA is: 156=421.

Anyway, for something funnier if you've got time to waste, go play Spot the Clifference at b3ta.com.

This is scary, esp. on a Monday morning: BBC World are doing the World's Top Ten, where you can vote for your favourite song. Apparently, the English language song that has received most votes so far is "Believe" by Cher. Makes you wanna go back to bed.

Yay! Tonight is the final of the Fame Academy. I would have liked Ainslie to win because he was such a wanker, but he's out, so now it looks like David will win. Anyway, if that means more quality articles in the Daily Record such as this one then I suppose it's fine :)

Help me find a new title for my blog after comments following my last post! You can email me your suggestions by clicking here.

Funniest picture I was sent by email in a while. It's actually from consumptionjunction.com (but I'm not linking to that site), but I've put it up at this address. Fyi, in the 80s, Michael Jackson had bought the rights to the Beatles songs. We now know for what purposes.

Another thing that made me laugh is Bush Grammar. Try not to be too much transformationed by it though.

Here's 2 for Harri if he's reading. Jonjon should enjoy as well. Posted on memepool a few days ago.
Both are the sane kind of lists. Here for the 1st one, and here's the second.

Fed up with Popstars? Noticed how almost every act are releasing their singles one week ahead because they didn't want a clash with the 2 bands from Popstars the rivals? Well, Death In Vegas are releasing "Scorpio Rising" feat Liam Gallagher, and that might get to number 1. Even though the single is shite, and apparently sounds like a Status Quo song. But well, we want them to be number 1. I'm surprised to see the Sun campaigning for them as well according to the DIV site. All I could find on the Sun website was this, which is fairly neutral. Features the video anyway.

First time! Yes, that's me being lazy here. Using Blogger. This is just text! I could use Arachnophilia or Notepad (yes, w2k, i'm at work), but decided not to be arsed. And this is just to publish links anyway.

Anyway, I'm afraid most of the links I'll post here will be taken from other blogs (or close to blogs) such as Memepool, B3ta or Slashdot.

I still need to get used to the Blogger HTML web editor thingie, not sure whether the links open in a new window or not, and a few things like that. I don't want to do anything fancy, but I don't want to type all the HTML in case I want something that is not their standard. Lazy.
